These terms apply when you order from us through this website, through our assistant Quri, or over the phone. Please read them before you pay. If anything here is unclear, call us on +251 957 904 858 and we will explain it plainly.
1. Who you are buying from
Your contract is with VOXEL STUDIO ONE MEMBER P.L.C., a company registered in Ethiopia, trading as VOXEL. We design and manufacture sculptural lamps and planters in our own workshop at VOXEL STUDIO WORKSHOP, ADDIS ABABA.
2. Prices and tax
- All prices are in Ethiopian Birr (ETB).
- The total shown at checkout includes 15% VAT. The checkout breaks out the goods, any discount, delivery and the VAT so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
- We issue a VAT invoice for every sale. If the purchase is for a business, add your company name and TIN at checkout and they will appear on the invoice.
- Delivery, if you choose it, is charged separately and shown before you pay.
The price you are charged is always the price the checkout shows you. If a figure quoted anywhere else — including by our assistant — differs from the checkout, the checkout is correct, and you are free not to proceed.
3. Placing an order
Adding pieces to your basket or asking Quri to record an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. A contract forms when we confirm your order — either by accepting your online payment, or when we telephone you to confirm.
We may decline or cancel an order before it is dispatched if:
- the piece is no longer available;
- a price or description was published in obvious error;
- we cannot reach you on the phone number you gave; or
- we reasonably believe the order is fraudulent.
If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.
4. Made to order
Some pieces are held in stock and some are made to order. The collection says which is which. A made-to-order piece is manufactured for you after your order is confirmed, and we will tell you the expected timing when we call.
Because each piece is finished by hand, small variations in colour, texture and finish are normal and are not faults.
5. Payment
- You can pay online by telebirr, or arrange payment with us by phone.
- Paying online takes you to telebirr to complete the payment. Nothing is charged until you confirm it there.
- We never see or store your telebirr PIN, and we do not store card details of any kind.
- Your order is only treated as paid once telebirr confirms the payment to us directly.
6. Collection and delivery
- Collection from our workshop is free. We will tell you when your piece is ready.
- Delivery is available within 25 km of the workshop. The fee is calculated from the distance to the location you choose on the map and is shown before you pay.
- Delivery timings are estimates, not guarantees. If something will be late we will call you.
- Please check your piece on arrival. Risk passes to you once you or someone at your address receives it.
7. Cancellation, faults and refunds
You may cancel at any time before you receive your piece. Once it has been delivered or handed to you, we do not accept it back because you changed your mind — please see the piece, or call us with any question, before you pay.
A piece that is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described is always put right at our cost, whatever else this section says.

8. Our assistant, Quri
Quri is an automated assistant. It can answer questions, quote prices and record an order for you. Its replies are generated automatically and may occasionally be wrong.
- Nothing Quri says is a binding commitment by us. The checkout total, or the price we confirm on the phone, is what governs.
- A discount is only real if it appears in the checkout breakdown.
- Quri cannot take payment. Payment happens only through telebirr's own checkout.
9. Using this website
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, place fraudulent orders, or use automated tools to scrape or overload it. We limit how many messages and orders one visitor may send in order to keep the service available to everyone.
The designs, photographs and text on this site belong to us. You may not copy or reproduce them commercially without our written permission.
10. Liability
We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example lost profit or lost time — arising from a delay or a fault. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ethiopian consumer protection law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and any dispute falls to the courts of Addis Ababa. We would always rather resolve a problem by talking to you first.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published here when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
